Our Programs
The Faith Formation programs for children in 1st through 8th grade meet weekly on Wednesdays in the Saint Blaise school building from 6:00-7:15 PM.
 
Formal faith formation for Grades 1-8 is required in our diocese, and two years of formation are required before receiving each Sacrament of Initiation–typically Grades 1 & 2 for First Holy Communion and Grades 7 & 8 for Confirmation. Please reach out to discuss any special situations, we are happy to work with you!
 
Elementary Faith Formation (Grades 1-6)

First Communion Preparation Year 1 & Year 2: The first two years of a child’s formal faith formation are dedicated to the essentials of the Catholic faith and preparation to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation and the Sacrament of the Eucharist in their second year.
Levels 3-6: The remaining elementary years are spent building a foundation of knowledge of Catholic teachings and practices so that the children may grow in understanding and love of Christ and his Church.

Confirmation Preparation (Grades 7-8)

Confirmation Preparation Year 1 & Year 2: A two-year program typically started in a student's 7th grade year. These years are focused on morality, life in the Church, and growing our personal relationship with Jesus. The Sacrament of Confirmation is offered in the fall after completion of the program, typically at the beginning of a student’s 9th grade year.
